Warts can be spread from one person to another by physical contact. However, just touching or even close physical contact with a person who has warts may not cause you to become infected. The deciding factor is the strenght of your imune system. Cracked or broken skin also allows the virus to penetrate more easily. Contrary to popular belief, you will not get warts from kissing or holding frogs. (unless the frog has HPV)
